Requests

  • An application for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment was submitted to amend the Future Land Use Map within the City's Comprehensive Plan for the properties located at1640 S. Moorland Road (includes Tax Keys #’s: 1158.989.001, 1158.989.002 & 1158.989.003) from Suburban Commercial, Mixed Use Residential and Institutional to Mixed Use Residential .
  • An application for a Rezoning was submitted to hold a public hearing to rescind PUD Overlay Ordinance # 2679 – Mandel Neighborhood Development Plan PUD (also amended by Ordinance 2688) & request to rezone the properties located at 1640 S. Moorland Road (Tax Key #’s: 1158.989.001, 1158.989.002 & 1158.989.003) from B-1/PUD (Shopping Center District), Rm-1/PUD (Multiple-Family Residential District:), I-1/PUD (Institutional District) / C-2/PUD (Shoreland-Wetland Holding District) to Rm-1/PUD and C-2/PUD as The Conservancy Neighborhood Development PUD Ordinance # 2701)
  • An application for a Land Division was submitted to created a 3-Lot CSM for the properties listed above.
  • An application for a Use Approval to construct (7) multi-family residential buildings, (2) mixed-use residential buildings, and (1) club house located at 1640 S. Moorland Road (Tax Key #’s: 1158.989.001, 1158.989.002 & 1158.989.003). 


Plan Commission

October 7, 2024 - Conceptual Use Approval for a mixed use development.

March 3, 2025 - Plan Commission held a joint public hearing on the Rezoning and Comprehensive Plan Amendment. 

April 7, 2025 - Plan Commission tabled the requests.

June 2, 2025 - Plan Commission held a second public hearing on the Rezoning to address a few changes to the PUD.  Plan Commission approved the Rezoning, Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Land Division. 

August 13, 2025 - Action anticipated on the Use approval. 


Common Council

January 28, 2025 - Common Council set a date for a Public Hearing at the March 3, 2025 Plan Commission meeting.

June 10, 2025 - Common Council approved all requests.
