Cigarette, Tobacco & Vape Retail License

A license is required for each establishment in the City of New Berlin that sells, exchanges, barters, disposes of, or gives away any cigarette, tobacco, or vape products (WI Stat. 125.17).

  • License period: July 1 – June 30 (annual).
  • Fee: $100.
  • All state application forms listed below are required with your submission.

Copy of Seller’s Permit Required

Include a copy of your current Wisconsin Seller’s Permit with the application. The permit must be issued in the same legal name as the applicant entity. Applications without a copy of the permit are incomplete and will be returned. Providing only a permit number does not meet this requirement. Learn how to obtain a Wisconsin Seller’s Permit.

Training Required

Establishments must provide employees with tobacco sales training approved by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Find approved training here.
