Direct Seller Licenses – City of New Berlin

There are two different license types. Choose the one that matches your activity:

Regular Direct Seller

Overview

A direct seller license is required for any individual who sells goods, takes sales orders for later delivery, or provides services at any location other than the permanent business place or residence of the person/organization. No direct seller, or employee of a direct seller, may engage in direct sales within the City of New Berlin without being licensed.

Requirements (per individual)

  • Copy of driver’s license or photo ID
  • Yearly license fee: $100 per individual (valid one year from issuance)
  • Monthly license fee: $20 per individual (valid one month from issuance)
  • Payment: cash or check only (credit cards not accepted)

Mobile Food Direct Seller

Overview

A license is required for any individual who sells goods, takes orders for later delivery, or provides services from a mobile food unit. No mobile food vendor, or employee of a vendor, may engage in direct sales within New Berlin without being licensed.

Requirements (per individual / per unit)

  • Copy of driver’s license or photo ID
  • Copy of food truck license issued by the State or County
  • Yearly license fee: $300 per mobile food unit (valid one year from issuance)
  • Monthly license fee: $50 per mobile food unit (valid one month from issuance)
  • Payment: cash or check only (credit cards not accepted)
