Safety Saturday Committee

Overview

This Committee will advise the Mayor, Common Council, and Police Department of the City of New Berlin regarding the annual Safety Saturday event held the third Saturday of each May. The Committee will be responsible for the coordination and organization of Safety Saturday in conjunction with the Police Department. In addition, the Committee will provide recommendations regarding the best methods and practices in assisting and advising the Police Department and Citizens of New Berlin regarding personal safety, security, crime trends, and crime prevention. The Police Department as a member of the Committee will assist the Committee by providing technical support and statistics as needed regarding crime patterns and trends.

This Committee was previously named the Crime Prevention Committee. (Ordinance #2551, 9/22/15).
