For current year delinquent property tax payments interest and penalties are calculated back to February 1st. Once an installment payment is missed (January 31st, March 31st, and May 31st) the installment option is void and the full tax bill is due back to January 31st. Please note that installment coupons are not included on your tax bill. You can visit Waukesha County's website for a copy of your bill or make note of the property address or tax key with your payment.
The City of New Berlin collects taxes through July 31st of each year. On August 1st, unpaid taxes are turned over to Waukesha County for collection. The amounts outstanding, as well as any previous year’s taxes, can be accessed through the Waukesha County Treasurer’s office at 262-548-7029.
