Special Assessment Letters

The City of New Berlin provides Special Assessment letters for parcels within the City. Special Assessment letters are typically required at property sales (closings) and/or mortgage refinancing closings.  

These letters include the following:  Assessment Values, Tax Information, Charges for Special Assessments, and outstanding amounts due for Water-Sewer-Storm water.

How to Request a Special Assessment

Requests for special assessments must be made in writing or in person at the City of New Berlin Cashier’s Office. Requests should include the parcel number, property address, whether you would like the letter mailed, emailed or faxed, and appropriate payment.

Fees

Fees are required at the time you request the assessment. Requests made without payment will not be processed until payment is received. Please make all checks payable to City of New Berlin.

$20 - Standard Assessment (mailed/faxed/emailed 2-3 business days from the date of request)

$40 - Rush Assessment (mailed/faxed/emailed within 48 hours)
