Press Release: New Berlin Celebrates America's 250th Birthday
NEW BERLIN CELEBRATES AMERICA’S 250TH BIRTHDAY WITH COUNTDOWN COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP EVENTS
New Berlin, WI — The City of New Berlin is proud to announce a community-wide celebration in honor of America’s 250th birthday. Beginning January 2026, New Berlin will launch a series of programs, events, and activities leading up to the City’s iconic Fourth of July Festival—uniting residents of all ages in a historic, once-in-a-generation milestone.
This community celebration is made possible through partnerships with the New Berlin Public Library, New Berlin Recreation Department, New Berlin Historical Society, New Berlin Landmarks Commission, New Berlin School District, and the New Berlin Veterans Memorial Society. Together, these organizations will offer educational programming, family-friendly events, arts and culture opportunities, and patriotic activities designed to highlight New Berlin’s rich history and honor America’s 250 years of independence.
“New Berlin is known for its strong sense of community,” said Recreation Manager Katie Roth. “This celebration is not only about honoring our nation’s past—it’s about bringing our residents together and creating meaningful memories for future generations.”
Throughout the year, the public can look forward to a variety of events and initiatives, including:
• Founding Friends Hunt and patriotic park adventures
• Valentine’s Day “Why We Love the 4th” Craft
• Red, White & Scoops Ice Cream Social in partnership with the Historical Society and Landmarks Commission
• Birthday Cake Kit Drive to support local families with the New Berlin Food Pantry
• Patriotic Book Fair with proceeds going to the New Berlin Food Pantry
• Mini-Parade Bike Decorating Event hosted by the New Berlin Public Library
• Guest Speakers at the New Berlin Library
• Veteran-led programs honoring service and sacrifice
These events lead up to the grand celebration at the 2026 Fourth of July Festival, where the community will come together for its largest celebration ever—honoring both America’s milestone anniversary and New Berlin’s proud traditions.
Organizations, businesses, volunteers, and community members interested in participating, sponsoring, or supporting this historic initiative are encouraged to get involved.
Join us for our 58th annual 4th of July Family Festival this year on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at Malone Park located at 16400 W Al Stigler Pkwy, New Berlin, WI 53151.
