The City of New Berlin has removed the basketball rims and closed the basketball court at Malone Park. While we know that this is a valuable asset which many citizens utilize regularly, an uptick in recent criminal incidents, including a shots fired incident last night, has led the City to close the courts while we reassess the usage and safety measures located within this park space. No timeframe has been established as to when the basketball courts will reopen. There will be increased police patrols in the area.
