In light of the recent Supreme Court decision striking down the Governor’s Safer at Home Order, the City of New Berlin Recreation Department will be resuming a limited amount of in-person programming beginning Monday, June 8th. Programs will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis in order to determine the feasibility and safety of holding classes. Some activities may be cancelled, postponed, or suspended until a later date as we deem necessary. For more information regarding the status of specific summer programs, please refer to the resources listed at the bottom of this Press Release.
The health and wellness of our staff and our participants is of utmost importance to the City, and we encourage everyone to follow the CDC and DHS (Department of Health Services) guidelines when choosing to participate in summer programs offered by the Recreation Department. PPE will not be required for the staff or the participants, however we strongly urge both to utilize any garments or equipment that minimizes the risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. We ask for your continued patience and understanding as we deal with this rapidly evolving situation, and we thank you for your unwavering support!
