Volunteer With the New Berlin Recreation Division
The New Berlin Recreation Division extends a warm welcome to family and community members interested in volunteering to enhance our recreational programs and events. There are various opportunities available throughout the division where volunteers can make a meaningful impact. From assisting with recreational activities to organizing community events and providing support in classrooms, volunteers play a vital role in enriching the experiences of our residents.
We deeply value the dedication of our volunteers, whose countless hours of service and generous contributions directly benefit our programs and facilities. Your commitment helps us continue to provide high-quality recreational opportunities for the community. Thank you for your invaluable support!
New Berlin Recreation Division has introduced a volunteer application and background check procedure. Ensuring the safety of our participants is our top priority, and therefore all volunteers must undergo a criminal background check before engaging in any volunteer activities.
Background checks are mandatory for volunteers (including parents) who meet any of the following criteria:
*Volunteers who may interact with participants
*Youth Volunteers
*Volunteers working within our facilities or on our grounds
*Volunteers with regular or ongoing assignments
*Volunteers accompanying participants off-site
*Volunteer chaperones for recreational outings
*Volunteer instructors or coaches
*Volunteers engaging in direct communication with participants
Please note that background checks typically take 3-5 days to process during regular business hours, Monday to Friday. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this important safety measure.
